THE SLIPCOVER

All of Quatrine Washable Furniture comes with a slipcover in your choice of fabrics. We warrant the workmanship in the slipcover, i.e. zippers, seams and sewing. The fabric is not warranted.

• Slipcovers are made to center match, also known as five-point matching.

• A more expensive option is four-way matching. When you look at a piece of our furniture the fabric matches from the top of the cushions down through the seat to the bottom of the skirt. It is like looking at a piece of uncut fabric; the pattern matches throughout.

• The slipcover is constructed for 100% home machine washing and drying.

• All fabrics are HOT washed, pre-shrinking them before they are cut for your order. Even through they are pre-shrunk, there will still be some stretching and shrinking throughout the life of your slipcover.

• Covers are sewn with a nylon/cotton blend thread and though we have very little, if any, exposed thread, we try to color-coordinate it to the fabric.

• Stress points are reinforced with tabbing and double-stitching.

• All cut edges are individually over-locked/surged, before constructing the slipcover which is used to prevent fraying while washing.

• 100% woven polyester cording is used inside the welt. The welt/piping is cut on the bias, which helps the welt flow around curves and corners. We do not self welt.

• The skirt and arm panels are lined, which adds strength as well as eliminates hems.

• Nylon zippers with rust-proof galvanized steel heads are used on the cushions and pillows. There are no ties or Velcro.

• The slipcover over the mannequin’s body does not incorporate zippers, ties or Velcro.

ADDITIONAL SLIPCOVERS

Another great benefit of owning a piece of Quatrine Washable Furniture is the ability to get additional slipcovers at any time. Change your slipcover with the seasons. Change the slipcover when you change your décor, or replace it because you have just worn it out. Whatever the reason, it is easy to do.
